The Vox Renaissance Consort would be worth hearing even if they were all dressed in T-shirts and blue jeans. They’re specialists in Renaissance and Baroque music guided by a knowledgeable leader, Valentin Radu. They add a touch of magic to all their concerts by performing in lush Renaissance costumes that complement the ornateness of the music. On February 7, they’ll bring their unique mix of sonic and visual color to the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter & Paul and present a midwinter Renaissance Candlemas.

Vox Renaissance Consort is coming to the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter & Paul, at 18th and Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, on Friday, February 7 at 8pm. General admission tickets are $25; $20 for seniors and $10 for students. For tickets or more information, call 610-688-2800 or visit www.voxamadeus.org.
