Here we are in the final month of the year, and the holiday season is in full swing. ComedySportz Philadelphia and Philly Improv Theater host comedy events this weekend to stir up much-needed laughs for the season. Then, the Weitzman hosts a new photography installation with Humans of Judaism, and Journey Arts looks to Make Ready Again.

Happy holidays, Philly! (If you celebrate.)

Through Sunday, January 19, 2025
Opening Night: Saturday, December 7
Arden Theatre, 40 N 2nd Street, Philadelphia

Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History, 101 South Independence Mall East, Philadelphia

The Weitzman opened a new photography installation this week with Humans of Judaism, a body of work drawing from the work of author and storyteller Nikki Schreiber. What started as a social media phenomenon culminated into a new book with the same name, and throughout the winter, visitors to the museum can check out her work on the walls. Photographs, personal stories, digital screens, and printed pages will grace the space. Be sure to pick up a copy of her book while you’re at it, and follow her on Instagram.
