Handmade Rebellion Craft Bazaar coming to Tattooed Mom
If you’re looking for something a little more homegrown than the Super Bowl (we heard something about the Eagles), or at least a community art gathering in the spirit of #resistance before you pick up the buffalo wings and beer, Riot Nerd’s Handmade Rebellion Craft Bazaar might be your ballgame.
Riot Nerd, a passionate local outlet for commentary on games, music, concerts, film, collectibles, and more, hosts the socially conscious bazaar in partnership with Tattooed Mom on Sunday from 1-5pm. A dozen local artisans will be there “to denounce Valentine's Day and promote diversity and solidarity.” Handmade craft items promoting feminism, LGBT rights, Black Lives Matter, “and all other peaceful and thought-provoking resistance movements signaling change from our current political climate” will be the order of the day. The Riot Nerd organizers will also feature a raffle stuffed with prizes of food, gear, and services from Philly businesses. All raffle proceeds will go to Planned Parenthood.
Riot Nerd is bringing the Handmade Rebellion Craft Bazaar to Tattooed Mom (530 South Street) on Sunday, February 4 from 1-5pm. Admission is free and youngsters are allowed in for the event.
