The Wednesday evening Bach @ 7 series offers its fans an hour packed with music, followed by a reception brightened by wines that would be worth a big donation all by themselves. Music director Matthew Glandorf will finish the season with two concerts featuring four of Bach’s cheerier cantatas. On April 19, he’ll lead a Sanctus and the cantatas Remain with Us and God So Loved the World. On April 26, he’ll conduct a secular cantata praising the ruler of Saxony and a religious cantata praising God in His realms. Choral Arts Philadelphia provides the chorus and the Bach Collegium orchestra backs up the vocalists with some of the top period-instrument specialists in the city.

Choral Arts Philadelphia’s Bach Festival will present Bach @ 7 on April 19 and April 26 at 7pm at St. Clement’s Church, 20th and Appletree Streets (between Arch and Cherry). No advance tickets required and admission is “pay what you wish,” recommended $20 donation. For more details, visit online.
