The Bach Festival’s Bach@7 series is one of the gems of Philadelphia's music season. On the third Wednesday of every month, the festival presents an intense one-hour concert followed by a convivial reception. This season’s opening event will be a chamber-music session played on Baroque instruments, featuring music by Bach, Telemann, Buxtehude, and other Baroque masters. The Bach Festival’s instrumental group, the Bach Collegium, includes most of the region’s best period-instrument players; the paneled reception room at St. Clement’s adds the final touch of warmth and urbanity.

Choral Arts Philadelphia’s Bach@7 will present J.S. Bach: Mentors, Colleagues and Students on September 20 at 7pm at St. Clement’s Church, 2013 Appletree Street, Philadelphia. Admission is pay-what-you-wish at the door (a suggested $25; no advance sales). For more information, visit online or call 267-240-2586.
