BSR Contributor Since February 11, 2019
Joseph Myers has called Philadelphia home for his entire 40 years on this earth. He collected three dozen honors and awards during his seven-year tenure at the South Philly Review, as well as working with the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Passyunk Post.
Joseph Myers discovered a love for writing at age 8 and has been tending to that passion for 32 years. The lifelong Philadelphian first fell for fiction but has since added poetry, plays, and literary analysis as devotions. Through his time with the South Philly Review, Myers built his admiration for community news, particularly the efforts of local theater practitioners, writers, musicians, and artists. He is an ardent Shakespeare, hockey, tennis, chess, and music buff. He has a seven-year-old son who routinely beats him in hockey and will soon do the same in tennis.
