With over 20 years of arts and cultural experience, Darnelle has served as an actor, stage manager, playwright, director, producer, house manager, box office manager, teaching artist, marketing director, Barrymores voter, and producing artistic director. In 2005, he founded Represented Theatre Company and started the Rep Radio podcast, which launched in 2009.
With over 20 years of arts and cultural experience, Darnelle (he/him pronouns) has served as an actor, stage manager, playwright, director, producer, house manager, box office manager, teaching artist, marketing director, Barrymores voter, and producing artistic director. He wrote his first play, Sidewalk Cafe, in 1999. He later moved to Philadelphia, where in 2005, he founded Represented Theatre Company and began planning for the Rep Radio podcast, which launched in 2009. Well-rounded in arts and culture, Darnelle has worked for the Franklin Institute, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Flashpoint Theatre, Curtain Call Creations, New Freedom Theatre, Historic Philadelphia, Inc., Quince Productions, Keen Company, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Museum of the Moving Image, and The College of Physicians of Philadelphia, where he currently serves as information technology manager. He has studied arts administration at NYU, where he co-founded Just Learn Something, which currently promotes The Business of Broadway, written by Mitch Weiss and Perri Gaffney. He has served on the board of directors of the Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia, Safeguards Project, and American Historical Theatre.
