I don’t know about you, but I’ve been experiencing whiplash this month. From mask mandates reinstated indoors to mandates lifting on SEPTA and other forms of transportation (definitely got emails about it from Lyft and Uber and their “concern for my safety”) to the weather swirling between mid-spring and mid-winter at a moment's notice, to the immeasurable number of inconsistencies and unpredictables—it’s hard to grab hold of reality.
But then, what’s so great about reality, anyway? The idealist side of me has been escaping to worlds that are as far away as possible, and watching Michelle Yeoh movies has been part of that escapism. The cynical side of me looks for signs of hope, and it might be found in Tempesta di Mare’s story of building and sustaining something from a tiny little idea.
I don’t know what to expect from next week, but I’ll see you then! Until then, grab ahold of something.
