Greets everyone!
This week is no doubt a chance for reflection. A new exhibit at the Barnes featuring Native American art considers the power of the arts as a means to preserve living traditions. Then, contributor Dara McBride revisits a story from summer 2020 as RA Friedman’s illustration project has grown into a full exhibit at InLiquid (read the first story here).
Then, the roundup takes a look at the importance of Black superheroes for children and young adults, explores the power of fiction with two writerly conversations, and presents resiliency through music from the Philly POPS and the Curtis Symphony Orchestra. There are dashes of Presidents Day and Black History Month offerings, too.
Be safe and be love, y’all. Especially since a certain holiday was this past Monday…
