A lot of things about this business -- the arts business, the journalism business, the arts journalism business -- are really hard, from the always-shifting digital landscape to the relentless news cycle to the perennial challenges of funding. But every time we meet up with members of the BSR community, we remember why we do this work.
Our writers, readers, and donors are passionate, curious folks who love to learn, who make a habit of seeking out the beauty in life, and who invest their personal and professional efforts in building the kind of community they want to live in. We enjoyed spending time together at last week's meetup, hosted in partnership with Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. Look out for news on more BSR events this spring and summer!
This week's stories feature a lot of music (always a highlight of the greater Philly area cultural scene), as well as a review of the Arden's latest August Wilson staging, and a review of a Philly Theatre Week production that's outlasting that fest (which officially closed last Sunday). Thanks for spending another week with us!
