Yes, I know it's only still September, but I’ve been on a spooky season kick already. Rewatches of favorite movies, pumpkin already finding its way into my food and drinks, (re)visits to books and TV shows on the moodier side—it’s been nice. But I think it’s just because I’m glad summer is over, and I’m looking forward to an autumn filled with cool, funky, weird arts and events.
The movie repertory is here, and while it gives us a fair share of Halloween-y flicks, it goes beyond the typical faire of what you’d expect in October. This week’s roundup also has some cool events to look forward to, including a play especially for the science nerds out there and a year of family-friendly events coming from Please Touch, and a Dungeons & Dragons festival in South Philly.
Be spooky, Philly—if that’s your thing. No pressure.
