Philly Fringe is here, which means you're probably overwhelmed with choice. What do you want to go see? Where to even begin to decide such a thing? With so many performances and events, Fringe can feel like quite the endeavor every year. That's why it's good to have a friend like BSR editor-in-chief Alaina Johns around—she's given us not only her Fringe picks, but a second set of select works happening right in South Philly. For many of you, you may not have to go far to see a show. For all of you, you'll have guidance on what to look out for—or at least where to start.
Fringe isn't the only thing happening in this town in September, so we want to make sure we make plenty of space for everyone else. Be sure to check out our September classical music column, our movie screening repertory, and this week's roundup for a wide look at what's coming to the stage or screen. Also, give our profile on dancer and choreographer Caili Quan, catch a glimpse at a piece of Philly history with Sigma Sound Studios, and more.
See you around town!
