After a hectic week that saw coverage cancellations for a variety of reasons, including Covid and car trouble, it's really fun to see how far-reaching this week's roster still is. We're reviewing Piffaro's popular Christmas concert, which this year features sacred and secular music from 15th and 16th-century Italy. We're sniffing out a new exhibition from a Norwegian researcher and artist at ICA, and we're following writer Gabrielle Kaplan-Mayer to New York City for a look at Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish, and why the show is so important right now.
And, of course, we're also still right here at home, because Kyle's here with his latest editorial, a look back on what the 2022 Phillies season meant to us (and what we can understand about it, whether or not we're baseball fans).
Next week's Wednesday mailer will arrive on the shortest day of the year, and then we can begin to claw our way back to the light, a little more each day. I can't wait.
In the meantime, here's a quick shout-out to our many new Friends of BSR. Thanks for your support as we close out this year!
