It was great seeing folks turn out for yesterday's Intro to review-writing seminar! Our editor-in-chief Alaina Johns put together an incredibly informative seminar on how to (and how not to) write reviews. Our panelists Krista Mar, Cameron Kelsall, and Gail Obenreder (whom you've read on this site most likely if you've been around) had some great insights to share as well. I feel like I learned a few things myself!
But I think what was really great to see was to see so many people show up. Attendees had great questions and feedback, making for a lively conversation about writing. I love to see writers and creators coming together in conversation—we need that more than ever. Who knows, maybe there will be more of these in the future. What do you think?
This week, we've got our December movies—and it's more than just holiday classics. Also be sure to check out our weekly roundup, where we highlight a pair of World AIDS Day events, the 21st Philly Zine Festival, and coincidentally, an autumn-inspired writerly workshop.
Stay creative, Philly!
