You can make a big difference Dear friend of Broad Street Review, Seven years ago this month we launched Broad Street Review as a freewheeling alternative to traditional media arts coverage. Today our audience is growing, and so is the number of reviews and provocative essays submitted to us from seasoned writers and amateurs alike around the globe. While conventional media have drastically reduced their arts and culture coverage— the Philadelphia Inquirer is down to just three full-time arts writers— ours has expanded. On our modest annual budget of less than $100,000, we’ve posted more than 500 stimulating pieces over the past year. And it’s all provided free to readers like you. The bad news: Even on our modest budget, we need funding to keep doing what we’re doing. Foundation grants and advertising fill much of the gap. For the rest— about one-third of our budget— we rely on loyal readers like you. Every donor who sends us $100 or more will receive BSR’s stylish and durable new tote bag— a practical accessory that will instantly identify you as an arts patron of discriminating taste wherever you carry it.
Or you can simply give $50, $25 or whatever amount feels comfortable to you. To an operation like ours, even a small donation can make a big difference. Click here to donate through our special web page. Or you can mail a check to:

Whatever the amount, your donation will help us continue to expand our vital arts conversation in new directions. Watch, for example, for our new section about “Books and Movies.” We’re also planning to add previews of coming events, drawing on tips from our discriminating contributors. Broad Street Review is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, and your donation is fully tax-deductible. I hope we can count on your support. In any case, here’s wishing you a happy holiday season and a rewarding new year.
